Compressors and limiting amplifiers are not the same, right?
The ratio is usually what makes the difference between a compressor and a limiter but in the case of the 1176, it’s both at the same time 😜 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1176_Peak_Limiter
@@DavidCaraccio I have a Keeley GC2 limiting amplifier (using for bass on my pedalboard); it has compression, gain and threshold as controls - no ratio. I am wondering if I should be using a compression pedal instead?
